Chronic Stress and Women

An increasing number of women, especially mothers, report feeling negative effects from chronic stress.Stress can result from various aspects of daily life including relationships, parenting issues, and financial burdens. The effects of chronic stress can have a measurable impact on productivity, physical health, and mental health.

Many women are turning their attention to a Holistic Approach to stress management. This involves the treatment of stress by embracing the mind-body connection.  It can be very challenging to eliminate life stressors. However, it is possible to manage the effects that chronic stress has on a woman’s mind and body.

The practice of holistic psychology can take many different forms. It often includes the use of psychological treatment principles coupled with adjunct therapeutic techniques. Adjunct therapies may include: Clinical Hypnosis, Exercise and Nutrition Plans, Meditation, Aromatherapy, or Mind-Body work.

Many women report improved treatment outcomes through the use of holistic psychology. The benefits can include improved a reduction in stress, improved self-awareness, and motivation to complete the course of psychological treatment.
