I am a married mother of two boys ages 21 and 5. I work full time for a non-profit state trade association that represents non-profit community clinics and health centers. I am lead our emergency management program and also a full-time grad student who will graduate with a Master in Public Affairs with a concentration in Disaster/Emergency Management in December 2008.

Since starting school, my house is not as clean as I would like and I can't wait to finish school to have more time to spend with family and friends. The harshest thing I heard lately from my 5 year-old was "I hate you- you are always doing school work!". Yes, it is true that my grad school has had an impact on our family life but we also know that we are close to the end of line. I also know that my education was the best investment in our family's future that will allow me to earn more for our family now and in the future. It sometimes just doesn't make it easier to stay up until 1am to finish a paper...... I couldn't do it without my husband who is a great support and a wonderful father!
