Hi!

I am a 31 year old working mom and wife. I have two fabulous kids. I only ever wanted two kids and I was blessed with the most fantastic ones a mom could ask for. My 8 year old daughter is an avid golfer and I am happiest when I'm on the golf course watching her drive her ball 150 yards (she's loving her new driver.) My 3 1/2 year old son is a spitfire who keeps me on my toes. He is the most lovable boy and makes me feel like a celebrity whenever he greets me. He's a little soccer phenom in his own right and is a joy to watch on the field.

My fabulous husband is my best friend so I'm very lucky. One of my favorite sounds in the world is his laugh. I can have the crappiest day but if I hear his laugh I can't help but smile and laugh too. We own a DJ and wedding coordination business so wedding season keeps us busy.

I am a full time state government employee. I started with the state at 18 and will probably retire a state employee. I serve on the board of directors for the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento, the area's only emergency shelter for abused and neglected children. I love the work I do for the home and wish I had more time so I could do more. I was placed in the home as a child so to be able to give back to the agency that literally saved my life is a blessing.

I love to read and I am building a home library. I visit used book stores and the "for sale" section of most libraries weekly. I just got a bike so I'm enjoying family bike rides. I just took up tennis which I love. I am taking French lessons and hope to visit Paris within the next few years.

I am a nerd at heart and love school supply shopping each year. My daughter does too. So we took our love of school supply shopping and created, "Jillian's Backpack Drive." Each summer we collect backpacks and school supplies. We stuff each backpack with a complete set up supplies and donate the backpacks to local non-profits. You'd be amazed at how many kids are still starting school each year without a backpack or supplies. This summer will be our 3rd year of the backpack drive. I am a surrogate, preparing to carry a baby for some very dear friends of mine who have struggled for years to become parents. I am beyond excited about this amazing and somewhat unique opportunity. Every day with my family is a blessing (yes, even the ones that make me want to pull out my hair and cry) that I absolutely do not take for granted.
