Hey there, I read your experience with the nutcracker (Sacramento Ballet)...My daughter was always too tall to ever be a Party Girl, so please tell your daughter, to take a deep breath, and relax and to not take it personal. I would have loved my girl to make it as a Party Girl, but she was one inch too tall once she was old enough to do anything, and she was also too short for other parts! She was like right in the middle for 2 years. She has made it both times trying out for the Nutcracker, so we are happy, but, she is always going up against older girls since she is so tall for her age. She is only 10, but almost 5 foot 3 ...keep your spirits up!
