About California Automobile Museum

The Towe Auto Museum is a spacious 71,000 square foot museum, home to over 160 vehicles of various makes and models, from 1896 to modern day, all uniquely displayed chronologically among exhibits befitting the times and changes of the automobile. A knowledgeable docent staff provides visitors with guided tours through exhibits that recreate the love affair we have with automobiles and momentum and also provide historical information about the automotive industry. 

The mission of the Towe Auto Museum is to preserve, promote and teach automotive culture and its influence on our lives – past, present, and future. The Museum is a membership/volunteer organization providing an interesting and stimulating environment for volunteer work. Also offered at the Museum are a series of educational classes, both for adults as well as children, lectures, organ concerts, Swap Meets, movies, rotating exhibits and other special events throughout the year.

The Museum is conveniently located near freeways, downtown and Old Sacramento, with ample free bus and auto parking. The Museum also contains three event rental spaces perfect for banquets, receptions, seminars, dances, birthday parties and much more!

The Towe Auto Museum is open daily except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. taking the last admission at 5:00 p.m. For more information call (916) 442-6802 or visit www.toweautomuseum.org.
