You are so right about the "like a horror movie everyone can see it coming." I don't know if my son would have even made it to the popcorn. I would have been right there with you though, celebrating away with food! I hope your husband was making you breakfast in bed the next day. What a dream-mom to clean all that up alone. I'm glad it was just too much food and that no one is sick. Yay! Happy sleeping in/aka-summer vacation!
