I loved trick o' treating as a kid. My parents had this old-fashioned lantern that my dad made, with a candle and all, and we would take it with us when we went out. Really spooky and cool. And my sister always hated her costume, so that was fun. Our cat, Kitty, would follow us all over the neighborhood, like a dog. Halloween was awesome.
My daughter, who's two, seems pretty apprehensive of Halloween so far. I think we'll try a couple houses, but it may be low key.
