When I was a server/bartender at a Md. style crab house in Phoenix in the mid to late 90's, lots of celebrities would come in (football players, NBA and WNBA, PGA, LPGA) but mostly, I never recognized them. But I did wait on John and Cindy McCain and their family on several occasions. He was a big tipper, drank gin martini's and lots of customers would send drinks his way as thanks for favors he had done (like Westpoint and Naval Academy recs). It was great to chat with them and meet their family, and now he is running for president. Too bad they didn't have cell phone cameras back then!
And I think that everyone in Phoenix has met Alice Cooper. Lastly, we waited at a valet with Emmit Smith on Christmas eve at Scottsdale Fashion Square.
