I agree. There were some kids at the family party who are very close to the age of my son. BUT they live in Carson City NV, may as well be on the moon. They camp, hunt, fish, ride dune buggies, etc... NOTHING in common with my pale in-door kid who doesn't even ride a bike really. Yet, we're from the same family. Ah well. It was a good learning experience for my son to try and find common ground in conversation.
Oh, and my grandparents never did ask to have him come home with them again. I think 5min with a 14 year old and they were reminded that maybe they didn't want to spend a week with that. Hahahah! :)
