It sounds like you had a good visit. The pictures of your family are great!
It's amazing how spending time with people you are related to can cause you to reflect. I definitely don't see eye to eye with most of the older generation of my family (they're all from small-town Nebraska or Wisconsin and I'm from the inner city.) But we share a bond that is intangible but strong. I know they love me, even if they don't understand me. It's a good thing.
