Brodie, Lucas, and I parked at 17th and Capitol Sunday morning before the Nike Women's Fitness Festival and 5K run/walk. We enjoyed walking through Capitol Park as we made our way to the event. We enjoyed the beautiful colors and sweet smells of roses as we walked through the Rose Garden for Peace. Once we reached the Capitol, we were surrounded by thousands of women of all ages excited to begin the race. Jamba Juice was there passing out free smoothies. Yum! We started the 5K race in the back. When I run with the twins in the running stroller, I am very careful to stay out of the way of other runners and walkers. I want to make sure everyone around us feels comfortable. I don't want anyone to think they are going to be run over by the wheels on my stroller. Part of the fun of running in a race with the stroller is the challenge of safely passing people.
