dang girl!
i am a prime example of a trend that is sweepng the nation.  when hot girls become moms.
my legs have gone from toned and waxed to pale and unshaven.  my hair has seen more ponytail days than ever before.  my clothes have migrated from trendy to clearance sweatpants from target.  i have gone from turning heads into turning 1lb of hamburger into something edible.

incidence #1:
at the park, my daughter and i had the place to ourselves.  that is until a crackhead  came along and decided to make the swings his stage for his rants and vocal talents.  i ignored him, emitting my best momma bear  "don't come near my cub or i WILL hurt you" look.  then he said something that i needed the most.  he said that my daughter was beautiful, just like me.  i melted.  even if it came from a man who claimed to have invented the automobile.

incidence #2:
i was driving along folsom blvd. in the right lane.  a monster truck was driving alongside of me on my left.  i hear the passenger say "dang you're right!  she is hot!" oh my god.  if he only knew.  if he only knew that a lifetime ago i most likely would have given him the finger, but that hearing his crude compliment made me sit up a little straighter and my face light up.

so to some i've still got it.  and maybe even to me too.

You're so funny!  You do still "got It" girl!  But it's funny how things like that can get a different reaction out of us now than would have in the past.

I love that story I know exacly how you feel I too sometimes feel that way I was once before child a woman who was always shaven, into fashion extremly, size 7, firm tight beatiful body, hair colored, nails done, wax jobs you name the full girly girl.I now do not do all this but shave now my money goes to my child and happily so but I do wonder if men even look at me in the world as an attractive woman other than my man I always say do I look like a mom or a attractive sexy mom?So it is always nice to get compliments from the outside world I feel like I am so wrapped up with my daughter that I do not have time to fix myself up completly that I feel like a raggy, stressed out mom and I learned to say this is now a different beatiful a more attractive me from the inside out where before it was just outer beaty me being a mother makes me more confident more happier so its just a different type of beaty.

Hahahha! Those are great. Isn't it pathetic how even creepy guys will make you feel good? I still don't gush for "carnies" though.

I think most women would be surprised at what men actually think ... and how many secretly think we're fabulous! I know someone who is working on a book ... or maybe just published it ... called Backwards and in heels...

Think about it. Fred Astaire got all this credit for being a great dancer - but Gene Kelley did all the same moves while dancing backwards and in heels...

Men think a lot more than looks are sexy ... every cosmo and glamour poll pretty much says so - yeah, they like overtly sexy women - but the discreetly sexy, and the sexy because you're a mom, or sexy because you're confident, or sexy because of who you are and what you do are right up there too!
