buns of butter
i definately am not in the same shape i was pre baby.  my buns went from buns of steel to buns of butter.  i think i have cellulite on my neck.  anyways, my daughter loves to play with bolts.  big ones, little ones curved ones any ones.  she treats them like a little family of bolts.  she rocks them to sleep, gives them rides in her wagon, all the things a budding mommy does to her family of bolts.  then one day she was showing them all to me.  the biggest one was daddy, the small ones were baby bolts, then she picks out the shortest, roundest, fattest bolt and says "mama".  yup.  not only in life am i the shortest, roundest, and fattest but even if i were a chunk of metal i would still be the shortest, roundest and fattest.  i know that i'll never be anything like a nail. slim and sleek, but i'd settle for a screw.  you know curvy, useful.  just not a thick fat bolt.

My 21-month old daughter constantly swats at my generous belly and says, "Belly squishy." Nice.

HA!  It's been a while - but I will NEVER forget the day my daughter saw me naked one morning and said - with disgust...  "Mommy!  What happened to your belly?"...  Boy - I just felt so wonderful that day I could have puked!   I know I know - love yourself, love yourself... whatever!  Darn that America's Next Top Model!

But what would you rather snuggle up to each night? A steel rod, or a soft pillow? I'll take the pillow any day of the week!
