"Mommy, why are YOU going back to school?"
Ok, so I should have listened to my collage mentor and former professor from Chico State when he told me five years ago to hurry up and get my Master degree...pre children!  Did I listen to his advice?  Noooo!  Now, with a four year old and 22 month old twins, I have decided to pursue a Master degree.  I was accepted to USF and incredibly excited about this.  As I was jumping up and down holding my acceptance letter and telling my son, Ethan, the great news, his response was, "Mommy, why are YOU going back to school?"  Now, what was that supposed to mean?  Was he implying that because I am a mommy I'm not allowed to go back to school?  Or, maybe I'm just too darn old?  Anyway, I'm not going to read too much into it.  It will be great though for my children to watch their mom in school and see the wonderful outcome of receiving an education.  Hopefully, they will do the same!

WOW!!! Congrats! That's wonderful. I too am a continuing education mom (taking just three classes this Fall). I agree, I think it sets a GREAT example to our children to see us work so hard on our own goals. I told my teen that we can work on our homework together. He liked that. No one likes to suffer alone.

What field are you in?

Hey Friend!

We're so very proud of you!  I know you'll do well.  If you're in Sac & need some study time, you know you can call me & dump the boys in the backyard - my girls would love to see those three again! :)

Congrats! I'm also starting my masters. It's exciting, but it can be very overwhelming too. Good luck!
