Good prices on school supplies

Hi Moms. Hope you didn't already recycle the Sunday inserts. If you did, retrieve, retrieve! There are some great prices on back to school supplies at Longs, Walgreens and RiteAid.  Here's the skinny:

Walgreens has dozens of 39-cent coupons. Everything from pencils and filler paper to writing tablets and Sharpie pens. Legal pads are 2/$1; three subject notebooks are 99-cents; Fiskars Scissors are BOGO and highlighters are 4/$1. Disney-themed pencils are 2 packs/$1 and Paper Mate pencils and pens are also 39-cents each.

If you live closer to a RiteAid, check out the BOGO backpacks and lunch boxes. They also have good prices on pencils, pens, glue and colored pencils and crayons.

School supply savings at Longs include a BOGO coupon for Crayola markers or  pencils. They have another coupon that's buy one, get two free on notebooks or filler paper. Markers and highlighters also are BOGO.

I got my son a BYOB lunch bag. They're GREAT! I paid $9 at Safeway, I'm sure you can find them for less.

In middle school (and high school) most kids need a "core" binder. I found GREAT ones for $9 at Costco. They also have super calculators for algebra on up (with big view) for $12.

For college kids, check Amazon.com for your books. I bought mine used off Amazon and saved almost $100 than if I'd have bought them through the school.

Happy back to school shopping!

Target has pretty darn good deals too.  I couldn't believe that a 24 count box of Crayola crayons was only 22 cents, along with glue sticks, Elmer's glue... I think all of those were 22cents each, or something else ridiculously low.  I hope I get a chance to go back to pick up more for stocking stuffers before they run out!
