My epiphany…

Yesterday, I was “playing” tug-of-war” with my thirteen year old son over his comforter (actually, trying to get him out of bed). We went back and forth, with him lying back down each time he pulled. I gave one strong pull, which caused him to hit his head on the bunk bed, hard. I felt TERRIBLE! He moaned a bit, while I begged for forgiveness, and tried to rub his head.  I wanted to “mommy him”, and make it all better. Then, I decided to do the opposite, and tell him to yell at me, not to forgive me, etc. He began to laugh, harder and harder, until we were both laughing, and I was hugging him and begging forgiveness.

Strangely enough, he later told his teacher about playing tug-of-war with his mom, leaving out the painful part.

What a lesson to learn! I felt like crying. He must have enjoyed playing with mom, anyhow. Amazing! Kids just want to have fun with their parents. Play On!

I always had it in the back of my mind that I will fight aging with all my might, strength, and whatever it takes. Well, recently, I started seeing more and more wrinkles settling in, and then burrowing in...the gray hair I'd been able to hide because of the color (it's actually sort of multi-colored) of my hair, when suddenly a #%!&@ gray hair was sticking up on top of my head! I screamed!

I want it all! I need it all, more and more all the time. Surgeons, injections, expensive treatments were, and are out of the question. I began seeing the Avon commercials about their new products that are the serum form (you apply topically) of the ingredient injected by Dermatologists to plump up the skin. I joined Avon, mostly to get these products at a discount. If you'd like to try a sample or get a catalog, or get together, let me know. I love to play make-up! http://danahall.avonreprese...

Now, if someone would help me figure out what to do with my hair, on a budget, of course.

Whatever we do, let's do it together, talk about it, **** about it over wine or whatever. We need our sisters to make it a little easier, get support, get new ideas, and just LAUGH! Laughter is the best medicine, I just wish it would work on those stubborn gray hairs! :(

Hugs,

Dana

How DO the young kids DO this stuff all the time?! I've spent most of the day trying to get my twitters to tweet, or something like that. I barely know my name. I've asked Hubby to take me to the wine tasting at Raley's.

Are you familiar with the wine tastings offered at many of the local Raley's? For $3 you get a flight of wines (usually 4), hors d'vours (usually light) and conversation. A nice, yet cheap date.  ;-)
