Each day brings about conitnued struggles of things in your life as well as good things that make you smile.I am at the tail end of losing over 20 pounds and have made a life style change out of it. I am not perfect and I want others to know that changing your lifestyle to get healtier, thinner, or whatever reason it is for you is hard. You have good days and bad ones.Im learning to make the most of every day, good or bad. Not always an easy task for me. I have an awesome 13 year old and we hope to adopt soon. I am aching to have a baby in out lives, not to say that I love me son any less. He is getting to the age of wanting to hang with his friends and needing me less but yet needing me more if that makes any sense. I am making some career changes which I hope will benefit our adopting and allow me to be home more. So, each day will bring about new and interesting things going on in my life, or so I think? :)

Life changes...........

Ok, here goes. I am new to this so hopefully I get the hang of it and would love to meet some new people here! It seems like such a great website and a place to learn, cry, laugh, get advice, etc  all  from others like me. I was recently laid off and have way too much time on my hands. I am learning alot about myself for sure! I have a 13 yr old, and we are in the midst of adopting(in process). I have to admit I feel a bit lost without working. I went and worked at my son's school the other day and it was awesome! Even at 13 he still got excited that I was there. Probably because I have always had to work and envied the moms who could help in the classroom. Believe me I did my share of PTA(president, my husband swears I was insane for that period of time, lol) etc but some how working at the school during the day is different.  I left with a huge smile on my face.So, everyone in my life seems to believe that when one door closes(my previous job) another one opens....................so, I am in search of "THAT" door. If anyone finds it, please do lead me to it.lol

Alright, my first post is complete. Hope I didn't put anyone to sleep....................can't wait to get to know you all. Who knows, maybe one of you will find that door I'm suppose to find.......hahaha.

good luck with the adoption process.  maybe if it works out you could become an advocate for adoption, or a counselor?
