We went on vacation to Lake Tahoe this past week. We went with my parents, and brother and stayed at a cabin that my family has been renting for several years. Well, needless to say we will not be returning anytime soon. We had fun on the beach, playing mini golf, etc. but let’s just say blame it on the bear! Wednesday morning my father awoke early to go fishing. He walked up the stairs to the kitchen to make coffee. While making the coffee he heard something growling at him. The bear was either on the front porch walkway or underneath it, it was too dark for my dad to tell.

My dad was startled so he yelled, in turn my mom screamed when she heard him yell (she thought that the bear made its way INSIDE the cabin) waking the rest of us up. The boys cancelled their fishing trip because we were all shaken up!

Last night we heard the bear walking on the porch walkway, and decided to come home. For all those people who scoff, we had ammonia everywhere, and all of the food was inside, and put away, and I have a 2 yr old to think about! I am grateful to be at home at last.
