Are you kidding me???

I try to feed my family organic and all natural products as much as possible. Since they were weaned from nursing, they have been drinking Horizon organic milk that has no hormones or antibiotics or anything in it.....yes it was more expensive, but only by about 1 or so. Until today,  I went to the store and almost passed out $7.59 a gallon...are you kidding me???? Considering my 19 month old goes through a Gallon in less then a week. Can it really cost that much to make organic milk, I sure doubt it. I don't really want to change, but there is a point where enough is enough.

I know - organic milk is expensive! What I've noticed is "regular" supermarkets like Raley's and Safeway seem to really hike up the price. Try somewhere like the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op or Whole Foods. They're bound to have it cheaper!

Try the Sacramento Natural Food Coop they have much better tasting milk than Horizon.

Try Colverdale that is my current favourite.

Is Horizon really organic? According to the USDA it is but not according to stricter standards.

I've found Trader Joe's to have good prices on milk, but I totally know what you mean. Milk is expensive! And so are eggs. I've been amazed at how much our grocery bill has gone up this year.

WHAT!? That must have been a mis-price. I buy all organic dairy and have never paid that much. Also, Wal Mart carries Organic dairy (at least the one in Dixion does). I would check there.

We currently buy Safeway's O Organic brand of milk and other products.  I find their milk price to be reasonable compared to regular milk.  Unfortunantly milk is just really expensive.  We drink a LOT of water and usually only serve milk at meal times to cut down on how much the kids are drinking.
