I heart exercise
Not really (today), but I'll keep telling myself that until it's true.

This week has been fun, yet challenging in terms of workouts. I started a new month with the Self Challenge, so I got all new strength and cardio workouts. This is a good thing, cause I was way passed bored with the first month's workouts. I have a short attention span when it comes to lifting weights, especially.

So I have been really sore, which is actually a good thing. The workouts are way different than the first month, and I have found it easy (well, maybe that's not the right word) to incorporate free weights into my cardio.

Today, however, was a different story.

This morning I popped in a cardio DVD and a Pilates DVD. The cardio went okay, but I'm still hopelessly uncoordinated in the morning. My husband joined in on a couple moves and I had to stop, I was laughing so hard.

The Pilates DVD was torture. Normally, once I start exercising, I'm fine. But today I kept looking at the time, trying to convince myself not to turn it off. It was a struggle, and I know it wasn't my best work out, but I got through. (Well, almost...I did 25 minutes...hey! Coffee was ready!)

Now, I need to hope in the shower and pack. We are going down to Concord to celebrate my grandma's birthday. I got the cutest little polka-dot dress for Em.

At least I do feel better that my exercise is done...until tomorrow.

Hey - the fact that you can actually exercise WITHOUT coffee is like an elephant walking a tightrope to me - WOO HOO to you!  And I'm with you - Pilates is nothing favorite of mine!  It takes so much concentration.  It's not the physical part so much as when you're done you're just flat exhausted mentally too!  Hope you enjoyed the trip to Concord - great day for a drive!
