This is Part 2 of my big Feng Shui makeover. If you want to see how it all started, check out Part 1, and Part2 .

I know I said that I would do this in weekly increments. Don't hold me to my word, as that is not happening. My life is too chaotic, that is why I am Feng Shui'ing and Space Clearing...see? :) If you are attempting this yourself, you can either go room by room in order starting at your front door, or you can do it like me. Priority. Whatever is scraziest in my life gets attention first. I would love to show my very tidy Health & Family area, unfortunately my children were creatively making a video with my camera and somehow changed the settings. Now, if I were more organized, I would know where to find my instruction book.....I did find some treasures out there in my laundry room!! A beautiful blue glass lantern, a beautiful blue glass water bottle from Italy that expired in 2003, several art supplies times two, etc...I also found some B&W poster of Rasta kids, I am passing these on, email me quick if you want them!

for recommending I enter the State Fair :).

Remember when we had that discussion after the recent County Fair? Well, when you mentioned there was still time to enter for the State Fair I did, and

I WON SECOND PLACE

in the Creative Arts Polymer Clay division :).

So make sure to visit the Creative Arts Hall and see my "Good Luck Goddess in Fairy Tree" :).

Thank you, my friend :).

A few months ago, I prepared my deposition.

I listed all the pros and cons, made my budget prognosis, and listed suggestions for alternative activities.

I wanted to cancel our cable TV. Seriously, we watch 6 channels of the 100+, the rest are trash. So why can't I just choose and pay for the ones we watch??

:)

After many months of discussions and contemplating, we received a bill that was almost $30 more than the usual already too high bill because we were no longer under contract. Hallejulah! It was a sign.

So we have been officially cable free for TWO WEEKs! We are surviving, really. Actually, it has not only cut down on my little TV addict, Heike Jr. #2, watching junk, it has also completely eliminated arguments between myself and Mr. Heike about what show on CourtTV is even remotely appropriate for children.

I do miss my HGTV and FoodChannel, but I will survive (I can always watch Paula on the internet), and we signed up with NetFlix where I can finally catch up on my Chick Flicks!

Otherwise, it is all good. Who knows, in February, instead of getting an HD box, we may just defy "them" totally, and go (gasp!!) TV-less???

Here is an excerpt from my book, Witch (Part Three) page 71:

"...but it came full circle at a recent “dinner discussion” (We always eat dinner together, at the table...yes, I know it is prehistoric, but I insist. It is our family roundtable).

Benjamin: “Mama, if I eat pollen, will I poop honey?
Mama: No, you cannot make honey.
Benjamin: Why?
Mama: Because you are not a bee.
Benjamin: So? Can’t I still poop honey if eat pollen from the flowers?
Mama: Benjamin, you have seen the bee webs at the market. You know, the honey man. Bees go in there, and that is how the honey is made. Bees have special honey makers in their body.
Benjamin: If I eat the bee, can I poop honey?

This went around and around for quite some time. I will spare you the details. Once I was done snorting every time I thought about his eager face and innocent question, I began to ask myself at what point in life we begin to no longer believe in ourselves? When do we wake up and lose the belief that we can make anything happen, as long as we want it to happen?

When do we begin to let other people tell us what is right and wrong, and what we can achieve? When do begin believing that any “expert” knows better than we do? When do we bury our instinct, and drive?"

(If you would like to see more, or purchase the book, go to http://www.goddessinthegroo...)

It is a few days after New Moon...I always get into my adventure phase right about now. You know, when my mind is flooded with ideas that never seem to stop, and that are THE thing I have to do. A few months ago, I went to see some business consultants with a new business idea. They though it was "cute", but would it make it to the shelves of Raley's, our big local grocery store? Probably not, because I do not have much interest in getting on to the shelves of Raley's. But that seems to be how you can measure your success, seeing your product on the shelf. After this meeting, I blew the idea off a bit, as the production, marketing, and legal follow up they suggested was just too overwhelming for me. POOF..there went that dream.

No, no, I am not getting depressed. Actually, I am feeling much better about this now, and have decided to begin anyways. Because my goal is not to be seen at Raley's, but my goal is to realize this product, and get it to women like me. If I need it, at least one out of three other women out there need it too, right?

The funny thing about Passion is that it never lets you out of its' grip. Deep down, you think about it, wonder about, and if you don't do it, you will remember and regret it forever. My philosophy is: try it. Don't use your head as much as your heart. Yes, it may be a big flop, but you tried it and do not have to regret or wonder for the rest of your life.

What prompted all this? We watched "The Bucket List" today :), and I have started my own list.

I took my kids to the County Fair today, and we all agreed that we enjoy it much more than the State Fair.

The exhibits were excellent, and they have a wonderful science area with hands on stuff for the kids to try. Great art too, and I wish I would have entered one of my goddesses....:)....

All around, it is not as expensive either. We bought discount wristband tickets earlier this week, and even if they would have been full price, my kids used every little bit and more of what I paid for the unlimited rides. There were plenty of rides for my 6 and 10 year old, MOST of them they could ride together.

The people who brought their animals were friendly, and we learned so much!

We just spent 6 hours there, and had a fabulous time.

See the website at www.sacfair.com for more info.

Greetings
Heike

Was anyone else a little disappointed about Earth Day this year?

Earth Day has always been a favorite for me and the kids. We look forward to spending the whole day there every year, and this year it was just not good.

I missed all the great performers, organic farms, artists, info, good food, etc.

I vented. I blogged on my blog at www.goddessinthegroove.blogspot.com, I wrote the Director, I responded to the article in The Bee. No reactions, to date.

Anyone else?
