Time For SEXY Mama!
My 14th wedding anniversary is right around the corner (October 1st), and I decided what I wanted most was to look sexy that day. You know, like I just stepped out of Sex in the City. All beautiful, confident and put together. We all know that when you look sexy and feel sexy then you ARE sexy. I don’t know about you, but it’s been a while since I felt sexy (since $180 later and I’m feeling sexy all right, and like I don’t want to tell my husband what I just spent. I thought about just waiting till he saw how good I looked, then springing it on him. Years of being together however have taught me not to put things like that off. I told him soon after he got home last night. “I got some things on-line today.” “Oh! Really? What?” “Oh, I wanted a new dress for our anniversary. They were having a really good sale." "What did you get?" "I got a dress, tights, 2 pairs of shoes and a negligee.” “WHAT! HOW MUCH DID YOU SPEND!” (In his best Ricky Ricardo impression.) “They were having a good sale and I put it on the credit card!” “HOW MUCH!” “Ummm, about $180.” Now this is where I learned that I am far too cheap with my clothes for myself, because my husband says, “You didn’t get very much for $180!” Yes, he really said that. It was worth it. I’ll look smoking hot on my anniversary and have some much needed new Fall pieces. I can’t wait for my new boots! What makes you feel sexy? 11 comments from 7 users

Wow! What a compliment maryleo9 . You're too kind! Yeah, that's a pretty flattering picture. Hahaha. It sounds like we're in the same boat. I'm also trying to get better about buying some "investment" pieces (on sale of course), but beyond the Target clothes. Good for you for spoiling yourself with your allowance! posted by

I think you did great on your bargain hunting! Until recently I personally wouldn't spend more than $10 on a top and $20 on a pair of jeans but I've since come to realize if I want more than a jeans/tees wardrobe I'm going to have to fork over more of my allowance. Yes, my husband does question how much I spend on things but I just remind him my allowance is for whatever I want to spend it on no matter what the cost. I do still buy pretty much every clothing item on sale though. And Creatress, looking at your picture you are a beautiful woman already so I'm sure it doesn't take much work to hit the sexy mark. And congrats on 14 years. Just celebrated 9 years in July myself - and 7 of it was before we had kids! posted by

Thanks marathongirly. For those extra special occasions, I skip the undergarments altogether. HEhehe.

Boots and shoes and more? Good shoes that last for more than one season cost at least $70 if on sale don't you think? What a bargain. I would have bought things twice and said I spent less than $100 each time. As long as you didn't buy Crocs;) Do they make sexy Crocs yet?

That's the thing! He shops at Mens Wearhouse where $180 will get you 1 shirt and a pair of socks (maybe if they're having a sale!) I don't get it. Thanks doll! posted by
