I'm SASSY!!!
Ok, I don't usually do two blogs back to back... this one is short. My son said "I was wrong, it looks good... you look SASSY!" The dye stained my head like I soaked it in a vat of berries overnight, but overall, I'm pleased. I just wish it always looked like it does on the box!!! Before (sans any makeup. I'm BRAVE!) When my son took it for me he said "Well, I guess that's as good a picture as it's going to get!" After (w/ makeup) 14 comments from 8 users

I love it. I just recently died my hair, well i actuall went and go it done professionally for the first time in years. And i told her medium brown like i had it when i dyed it from the box. My hair is naturally well black almost. When i came out i was shocked at first, but i've gotten used to it and have gotten some complitments. It was shocker because it sure wasn't I had before but now i think i'll keep it this way. I'd love to see what it looks like in the sun. You're skin looks wonderful too, what do you do to keep it so nice and glowing? posted by

Shoot! I did a long comment back to you, then when I logged in to post it, it vanished! I HATE it when that happens. Ok, to recap. I think I said... Whenever I get my hair professionally colored, it always comes out a little orange and brassy (like in my current profile picture... soon to change!) I hate that orange under-tone. That's why I went with a darker, almost burgendy red, to get rid of that brass. It also always costs a bundle and takes forever. I've always enjoyed doing it myself. And thank you for the kind skin compliment! I don't do much special. Wash, moisturize, sun block, weekly apricot scrub. I like Nutrogena oil free face sun block. It looks like a mini deoderant stick! Works great! posted by

The only problem with reds is how fast they fade! :-( I finally got my hair cut this afternoon. I was supposed to get it done last week, but I was festering in a pool of pestilence and kept having to reschedule. I was bemoaning the fact that I hadn't scheduled a color at the same time, but I just didn't have enough time to do both. posted by

Tee Hee! Thanks girls! I can confirm that red heads DO have more fun. Now I just need a bigger house, or ear plugs for my son. Hahaha! I can't wait to see your hair Amanda! You look like a natural blonde, so I'm sure it doesn't take much to "touch up" the color. Do you ever do it yourself? posted by

I loved being a red head, but I don't have the patience now. You look great! posted by

I agree...you look sassy! But unfortunately, the trick I learned about red hair is the only way to keep it is to stay out of the sun and never wash it. Since I couldn't pull that last one off, I'm forever a blondette. And I wish my skin looked like yours. I do ALL the same things you do, then some, but I have far from peaches and cream. My skin's more like the peach pit. Oh well. I can touch yours, right? ;) posted by

Nah, I didn't pinch him... just laughed! You're both right. Red hair takes a lot to maintain. That's the main reason I quit having it last year. At this point I felt up for the change and challenge. I got my Pantene for red hair and am fine touching it up once a month. Now if I can just get the red off my scalp! I swear. I think I'll try another brand next time. I love the shade, but I've scrubbed and scrubbed and still have a tinted head. Hmmmm. Melody, you are too sweet! I actually don't think my skin is great at all. Before my boy... yes. I had GREAT skin back then. Now I feel it's poo poo. But don't we all pick at ourselves? posted by
