SWAMP JUICE

My new Hamilton Beach juicer arrived and I was eager to try it out this morning. I plunged into the fruit bowl on the table head on and decimated anything juicy in my path. Oranges, pears, kiwi, grapefruit… even a banana didn’t stand a chance against my juicer. I poured a large frothy glass for my family and awaited their verdict.

“This looks like swamp juice”, my son helpfully offered. “You know, from Degobah in Star Wars.” Hmmm, it was a little green. “It’s from the kiwi” I reassured. “There are no vegetables in it, promise!” “It’s all frothy and weird” he states. I give him a straw and plop some ice cubes in. “It’s STILL frothy!” He’s actually whining at this point.

I honestly thought he’d love it! I thought it was rather like a fruit Julius myself (and liked the froth!) “Look!” my son exclaims, “When you blow in it, it’s JUST like the swamp on Degobah!” I hate to say it, but he was right. It did look like swamp juice.

(Check how healthy I'm trying to be! Those are BRAZIL nuts next to my "swamp juice".)

Well, you did give it a try so good for you. Did it come with recipes? Try www.allrecipes.com I think they have juicer recipes. Try for something pink this time. ;-)

Personally, I like swamp juice. I get it by the six-pack at the Dollar Tree, but I'll bet yours is better.

Good for you, Juicer Lady!

Hahaha, I didn't know they really made something called "Swamp juice!" Ugh. Reverse marketing I guess.

Yeah, it does look gross. I tasted really good though! My next one will be a berry  mix with watermellon I think. It's a great juicer. You can even make your own soy, rice or almond milk with it! Not that I'll be getting THAT crazy anytime soon.

Thanks for the recipe website Amanda. It did come with a few.
