WHAT ARE SOME GOOD HOSPITALS TO GO TO.
Since I will be a new resident in Sacramento soon I see that this site is sponsered by Sutter. Is that a good hospital? and what are my other choices in picking a good hospital for me and my future child.

I had two choices (because of my OBs hospital rights) Ii could've delivered at Sutter Memorial or Mercy General. I went on a tour of both and decided on Sutter, where I was VERY pleased with my experience. I think Sutter is a really great hospital, because not only do they have an exceptional staff at the hospital but they have a ton of outside recourses. Also you wouldn't need to do an outpatient with them, because they have several specialist within the hospital itself.

But what I suggest you do is talk to your OB (if you have one) and see if they have rights only at certain hospitals, and go tour the different hospitals within the Sacramento area, and see which one you are comfortable with.

I have had a child at Mercy San Juan in Carmicheal and at Sutter Roseville, and the sutter hospital was by far the better experience. Take the "Stork Tour" at any of the hospitals you are considering and you can check them out yourself.

I have had all of my kids at Sutter Memorial and they have been excellent experiences all three times. Sutter is known for having one of the best labor and delivery as well as pediatric depts....
