TwinkiesMom - > I'm Just Saying... -> Gotta love Google
Gotta love Google

Monday cannot come soon enough for the kids to go back to school. They are at each other's throats and I'm at my wits end. The last straw happened today, when we were on our way home from a trip to the pool, and somehow the gum that I most generously shared with them ended up smack dab in daughter's hair, right in the middle of her forehead. Not an easy place to just cut it out...even bangs couldn't mask that.

So after letting it sit there for a while and weighing the option of making her stick her head in the freezer (isn't that how you get gum off a shoe?!). I simply googled "Removing gum from hair"...and lo and behold, ten seconds later, we were at the kitchen sink, slathering peanut butter in her hair until the gum came loose. It worked great. My friend Google then told me to rinse the hair with dish soap to get the greasy peanut butter out, and then rinse with water.

Plus, now her hair is super shiney...Gotta love Google!

Awesome!  I google everything.  When a student asks me something I have no idea what the answer is,  I either pretend I didn't hear them (!), or I just say, "Google it!"

Google is the greatest thing the internet world invented. If ever you are at lost to what you want to do or if you need information about something, that is your best friend to the end. On my profile when it asks "favorite website" without thinking I put GOOGLE.

Yeah, I overhear kids ask each other a question like "Why is New York called the Big Apple?", I put it into google, find out the answer, and tell them like I knew it all along. :)

Google is the best. I don't know what mom's did before the internet. I remember finding a tick on myself after leading summer camp one year. I freaked, then googled "how to remove a tick." Yup, it worked.

I'm all about Google, too.

Your post reminded me a scene in The Office. Michael Scott got gum in his hair and ended up (with what looked like) an entire jar of peanut butter on his head. I'm assuming you had it a little more under control! :-)
