A Zoo in Lodi?! Who Knew?
Does everyone but me know there is a zoo in Lodi? I just heard about it, and might take my daughter and her friend this weekend. They have a Girl Scout "cooking class" in Elk Grove, so if the weather holds, we'll zip down 99 and check it out. It's called the Micke Grove Zoo and it is located at 11793 N. Micke Grove Rd, which according to Mapquest is just off 99 (www.mgzoo.com). They bill themselves as a "small, high-quality zoo featuring over 180 birds, mammals and reptiles." That includes a Chinese Alligator, snow leopard and mountain lions...the best part is it's only $2 for adults and $1 for kids. What a bargain! If we go, I'll be sure to post a reivew, but in the mean time if anyone has been, let me know if it's worth the trip. :) 2 comments from 2 users

I never knew! I still LOVE the Folsom Zoo. WAY better than the Sacramento Zoo (now I'm scared to try the SF zoo!)

It is something like William Land Park. The zoo is pretty small but it is worth it for the amount you pay. There is also a funderland like place next to the zoo, and a park. You should map quest it because if you don't pay close attention to the signs on the freeway you will miss the exit. Have fun!!!
