So, anyone who knows me, knows I run around in several directions at once and usually take on more than I can reasonably handle. Whenever I find myself in that situation of overbooking my time, my husband gently points out, “you are reminding me of your mother.” I consider that a compliment and at the same time a warning to slow down, as my mother is often frazzled. But she is well-respected by anyone who knows her as someone who will come through for you when you most need it.
These past two weeks have been hectic for me in more than the ‘Tis the Season’ way. I have been painting the new house every spare minute, cleaning the old house to have it always ready to show, packing 5 people and all the presents for 10 days away over Christmas and finishing the prep for my parents 50th Anniversary party. In the middle of all this, the car went in the shop and had to stay overnight (great timing of course) and costs a fortune to fix what I thought was going to be just a belt replacement –this it the only car that holds the whole family, and still try to keep up with my small business. I had to miss the kids' school parties Friday because I just needed that time to run last minute trip errands...aaaah! We arrived in |
