My favorite athlete is Joe Montana. He was great on the 49Er's. I have pictures of him cups etc you name it.

Cal Ripken, Jr - not only is he a great ballplayer with a scandal-free life, he's also a genuinely good person, active in his local community & in creating community across the nation. He's an athlete (now retired) who you really can hold up to your children as a healthy role model.

My favorite athlete is Martina Navratilova. She is a wonderful inspiration to woman and young girls with her wonderful accomplishments.

My Favorite all-time great athelete is Joe Montana. He was the best quarterback the SF 49ers ever had.

My favorite athlete is Lance Armstrong. Overcoming incredible physical challenges and winning the tour de france elevate him to the highest level of athleticism. posted by

My favorite athlete is Michael Jordan. He is the best and the greatest basketball player of all times. Tall, strong, with incredible leaping ability, he is an "Air Jordan" and one of the best defensive players. He is absolutely great.

My favorite athelete was Mary Lou Retton. I remember watching her so intently during the Olympics. It inspired me to take up gymnastics for several years. Of course, I was never as good as Mary Lou but I enjoyed it very much and it helped keep me fit and active for a number of years.

My favorite athlete is my grade school Math Teacher/Basketball coach George Trubow. He is an incredible person and inspiration and made a difference in many lives!

My all time favorite would have to be Larry Bird. I just love the guy.He was a great basketball player as well coach.
