Hipwaders to Rock out “Noon” Year’s Eve at the Nut Tree Theme Park

Local Artists bring music for the whole family.

Vacaville, CA- On New Year’s Eve, Wed., December 31 the Nut Tree Theme Park will be hosting a “Noon” Year’s Eve Celebration from 11:00am -1pm with entertainment and delights for the whole family. Admission for kids is $10.00, adults $5. Each person will get to see a private concert performed by “The Hipwaders”, a local band that is known for their family friendly lyrics and melodies. With paid admission, concert goers will receive an unlimited fun passport to ride the rides all day!

The special concert admission prices are valid from 11am until 1pm.

The Hipwaders were reviewed by Gary Ricker in Vacaville Magazine where he said that the band is “Very catchy and quite fun…this fun, family oriented music is perfect for kids.” The Hipwaders are Tito Uquillas (vocals, guitar and songwriter), Chris Blubaugh (Vocals and Base) and Nick Baca (Vocals and Drums). Together they create this music that the entire family can enjoy. They are well known in their niche of kids/family music. The Hipwaders have won quite a few awards since the release of their first album, “The Smile Project” in 2004. They won the Parent’s Choice Award in 2004, received a nomination in 2005 for XMKIDS Best New Artist, and they won the 2006 Parent’s Choice Award. They also played at the 2007 Lollapalooza!

For Uquillas, performing at the Nut Tree would be “full-circle” as he spent a lot of time at the old Nut Tree. As many who have lived in Vacaville do, he has many childhood memories of spending time at the old Nut Tree with his family. Uquillas noted that the new Nut Tree Theme Park is “one of the few local places where one can find families for which to perform!”

The Nut Tree Theme Park is open Friday, Saturdays and Sunday through december 21. Beginning December 22 the Ntu Tree Theme Park will celbrate Winter break wit hthe daily operations December 23-January 4; during this time the park will be open Monday thru Friday 12p-6p and Saturday and Sunday 10a-7p. TThen we'll be taking our winter break from January 5- January 30. January 31 we are going to re-open for the 2009 season, but we have tons of activities and opportunities for family fun before the year ends!

Grandparents FREE Fridays have been exteded for December 19 and 26; Grandparents will get free admission when they purcahse the $10.05 unlimited fun passport.
