Life During the Offseason
I’m thinking about playing overseas this off-season so Frederick and Aishida are going to come with me if I decide to go. But we don’t know. I definitely want to try it out. It’s difficult for me to find a place to go overseas right now because they have to come with me – I’m just not willing to leave my family for that long – and I want to go somewhere where there is an English-speaking school for Aishida to go to. It’s not just what country will pay the most for me to play for them, but it’s those other things too. 6 comments from 6 users

I wish you luck. I wanted to comment on the English school. I just recently faced a situation with my child's daycare. I needed to find a new daycare a few months ago and was referred to a very nice place. My hesitation came when the main caretaker speaks broken english with a strong spanish accent and her three helpers really only speak spanish. Now, two months later my two year old can count to 10 in english and spanish and says several other words in both languages. They have spanish nicknames and are learning cultural differences at an early age as well. It really worked out and I'm glad I gave it a try - I will keep them at this daycare until they start back talking me in Spanish I hope. Nicole
