OK mommies - I need your help. And if I know anything about mothers, it's this: we all look out for each other.

I need your advice and ideas for stories for my blog. I need to know, well, what you want to know. What are the issues you want to read about? What types of advice to you seek? What kinds of stories do you want to read? What gets your blood boiling, what soothes your soul? What do you want to read at the end of a long day of working and chasing after your kids (and I mean that in a way that includes stay-at-home moms - in my opinion, you ARE working all day!)

Please go to my blog and post a comment about the sorts of stories you want to see. I can't do it without you!

I would like to hear that some people are being told and educated on ISR. Its a self rescue class for children 6 months to 4yrs. It doesnt just teach them to swim it teaches them to save their own lives. This is a passion of mine because my 10 month old did begin to drown last summer. He turned blue. I got him in the ISR class on the recomendation of my pediatrician. Its been the best choice I have made. Not enough people in this area even know about and they should. Im sick of hearing from people that it cost too much or they dont want to put in the time committment, or when they say, "oh my kid is in swim classes". Its just not the same and that wont save them from drowning.

there can you tell im passionate about it.

I'm also passionate about the ridiculousness of women being made to feel they MUST hide themselves when they feed their babies from the breast. I wish women understood that everytime they cover up they are setting us all back to the days when we were told to be ashamed and go hide.

Im also passionate about healthy birth. The way birth was meant to be. Our country over the past few hundred years has managed to take a very natural occurance and turn it into a fully medical issue. Its sad. Other countries do just fine birthing naturally at home because they have not been poisoned by the idiotic fears set up by old men who wanted to control the birthing "industry". yes they turned it into an industry and are making the big bucks off us women and also taking away our God given right to be strong and powerful in birthing out children.

Im also passionate about the Montessori or other alternative ways of teaching. Anything other than how our current public school system does it. Im very happy that they have finally opened up to accepting the Montessori way. I am aware of about 7 schools in the Sacramento area that are considered Charters through the various public school districts. this is wonderful and more people have the right to know about this option. maybe if it becomes more desired other alternative ways of educating will be accepted.

thats all i can think of right now. gotta run and stop a toddler argument.

Hi Hope,

Thank you so much for your comments and recommendations. Would you mind e-mailing me at nlofing@sacbee.com so I can get in touch with you about learning more in regard to ISR? Thanks so much!

Sincerely,

Niesha
