Adding work-at-home mom to my title
I think I have added work-at-home mother to my status of stay-at-home. I’ve been very busy working on a new project here. An extension to the work I do in my little art studio. I have been doing my artwork in a freelance fashion on and off for years. I’ve been asked to do greeting card art, photo portraits and I’ve illustrated a couple of short children’s stories for friends, created artwork for business cards. Little things here and there that have kept me busy using my drawing skills that I enjoy doing so much. So, I’m not sure if this is a creation of my own…or my friends and family are creating me. Lol. Since becoming a frequenter of this website for parenting. I have been asked if I had a website to share. No… I didn’t. I had not considered working from my studio via the internet. What possibilities are out there for doing studio art? So, I started researching about building websites. Finally, I found one that was stable and reputable. As in, they aren’t “phishing” for information in my computer. I created my own website. It’s lovely…It really sweeps you in. Meaning, I got really caught up in the creative process. I have a business name and a place to share some of the work I am doing. It’s grown into a place where friends, family and guests can visit me and see what I am doing in the studio. The website also provides me with a space to sell products or services. Which was challenging but, an exciting thing to consider to do online. In the future, I would actually like to provide space where I can show other artist’s artwork as well. It brought a flood of ideas into the studio. So, There are several different galleries to click through. It’s changing all the time…I am putting new pictures and artwork in. Especially, ladies from this website. I would love to hear your comments on how it looks and any suggestions for a newly, grown business mother. This is all new to me and I am excited to hear what you think! There’s a place that explains how the name EcruCartwheel came about, the services I may be able to provide and also, a little bit about what I have discovered about illustrating. In the meantime, I’m finishing a book project, reading new book projects and my kids are coloring with me. How fun is that! EcruCartwheel.com.4 comments from 3 users
