JenB - > Confessions of a Type A Scatterbrain -> I can barely sit on the toilet
I can barely sit on the toilet

So, in my quest to make it to the gym regularly .. or at least more often than I was, I have been trying out new classes and I just tried out a body sculpting class and today I can barely sit on the toilet my legs are so sore ... and It even hurts to walk in heels for work!

But I can power through the pain knowing I may loose some of this awful baby weight I have been carrying around for way too long and look good this summer by the pool...

Wish me luck!

Ahh, yes. The aches and pains associated with being healthy and fit! Don't worry, it won't take long before you get into a groove and the soreness will go away. Look forward to hearing about your progress.

When do you fit exercise into your routine?

Whenever I can. When I held a normal full time job - it was easy to maintain a routine. I used to go at 5 am three times a week and then shower and leave for work. Now that I work from home and make my own schedule it is very hard. I do most of my works between 3 and 8 am so when I am pondering the gym - it is usually along the lines of - Do I...

a) get some work done, so I can do less during the day and play with the kids more?

b) if I am not slammed with work, I should get some sleep, as I usually don't get more than 4-5 hours or so onthe average night

c) go to the gym and make being fit a priority - work will always be there and there will always be another project and another deadline

I know "C" is the best answer here ... or at least the best answer for my health, but I have to say, "A" wins most of the time with "B" a close second.

So, with that said, I am going sporadically body sculpting once a week, yoga once a week, spin once a week but my times are all over the map and with it being so inconsistent I am finding that it is harder to keep a routine.

Luckily I have some friends that are going now and we're trying to keep each other motivated... we'll see!

Keep up the good work!   It's great that you can find the time, you'll feel so much better, eventually.   Funny, when I read your title "I can barely sit on the toilet" - I thought you were going to follow it up with a blog about always being interrupted by kids (and husband) and not having any free time to yourself.   That's my world!   If I had some free time I would probably spend it at the gym, and probably the toilet!

That's funny. I can totally see that. It soreness was way worse the next day, but it is subsiding now and I think I'll go to the sculpting class tomorrow am ... I get the best workout in that class! That and spin kick my butt. Now if I can just shed some pounds ...

No me time is one thing I don't put up with. I NEED me time and make sure I get some almost everyday ... event if it just means letting the kids play in the shower with our water toys while I watch American Idol in peace :) Luckily I have a fantastci husband who does a lot for me and the kids - so I have much help.
