I'm a first time mother of 35 to a beautiful baby girl born May 19, 2007.    We live in Mather and are looking for some new friends.  I work out of the home as a day trader/cruise travel agent and my husband runs a trucking/logistics company out of the home, too, so we are blessed to be with our daughter every day as she grows into an active toddler.  However, this poses a problem in that we are her only world outside of the occasional visit from grandmas!  We need to get out and start meeting some people so she doesn't think that we're it...two crazy people...

We were not expecting to have a family, so she was a little bit of a surprise, but she is the best thing that has happened in our lives.  She is just now starting to learn how to stand and walk; I think she's skipping the crawling.  I have breastfed exclusively, though she has also been eating solids since around 4.5 months.  I believe in attachment parenting and baby wearing, though I don't co-sleep full time with her and I will use the stroller on occasion.

I would love to meet other mothers with children around her age that are interested in meeting in afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends.  I love the outdoors, so would like to meet others who enjoy taking walks/hikes.  I also love to just go for drives.  Reading is a huge thing in my life, and I read a lot to my baby girl...everyone teases me she has more books than the library!  I would prefer to meet mothers in Rancho/Folsom area, but would drive to Elk Grove/Central Sacto or up through Fair Oaks/Citrus Heights/Carmichael area.
